Why this site exists
Many visitors need a quick answer before ordering ready-mix, buying bagged concrete, or checking a footing or post-hole plan. Generic calculators often stop at a single number and do not explain where waste, unit conversions, or cost differences come from. This site was created to offer simple tools backed by practical explanatory content so visitors understand the estimate, not just the output.
What we publish
We currently publish dedicated calculators for slabs, footings, and round columns or post holes. Each page is intended to match a real-world concrete shape and includes examples, planning notes, common mistakes, and guidance about when to verify dimensions with a contractor, engineer, or local code authority.
Editorial approach
We aim to keep content original, concise, and useful. Pages are written for homeowners, builders, estimators, and field crews who need straightforward explanations without exaggerated marketing claims. We avoid auto-generated filler, scraped text, and thin pages that do not add practical value for visitors.
What this site does not do
Concrete Calculator does not replace stamped plans, structural design, geotechnical review, or local permit requirements. It does not provide legal, engineering, or safety certification. Estimates are starting points that should be checked against project drawings, site conditions, and supplier pricing.
